Reflections for Curtis Strange Buddies for the week of March 6 and 8
1. Check list -- What specific tasks from the project checklist did you and your buddy begin, work on, or accomplish? What step are you on the checklist?
On Tuesday, JJ worked on typing, correcting, and editing his storykit. The only thing he has left to do is to record his voice sections, and import and cite his pictures. Heather is still typing and finishing the drawings on her storykit. On Thursday, JJ was at the Black History Bee so I was able to work one on one with Heather. She is now caught up to JJ and they are both working at the same pace.
2. Summarize your session with your buddy. What went well? What challenges do you encounter? How did you overcome or deal with these challenges?
On Tuesday it went really well. Thursday I just met with Heather and the table that we were working at was really crowded and she was having a really hard time staying focused. So we moved to another table and she had a much better time focusing (but still not as well as when JJ is working with us.)
3. Reflections - what did you do well today? How were you supportive? What area do you need to improve in for your next session?
It went really well this week and I like the fact that I was able to get some one on one time with one of my buddies. Sometimes it can be a challenge to be able to divide my attention between the two of them equally.
4. Plans - what are your plans for the sessions this week? How will you prepare? What will you prepare?
My plan for next week is to work on both of my buddies’ voice recording in a quieter area (maybe the classroom or a hallway.) Then on Thursday the main focus will be to collect all of the pictures and cite them into storykit.
