Reading Journal Entries for March 27 Reading Journal – “Seven Things to know about VoiceThread” Five Things I Learned….. - Uses flash program - Can imbed different forms of media - Could be a problem if trying to use VoiceThread with a large classroom - Requires a use login and password - Is a great way to get professional feedback from people you have never even met
Two Ideas I would like to try in my VoiceThread…. -I think I would like to try to incorporate other forms of media into the VoiceThread - I think I might want to include Skype into the VoiceThread
Reading Journal –“VoiceThread Accessibility” Five Things I Learned… -The program is able to serve everyone, like people with dyslexia and ADHD - Enabled video comment because it was more accessible to people who wanted to use sign language to comment - Are working on creating a way for the visually-impaired and blind to be able to use the program -The program is still underdevelopment because the company wants to be able to make the program accessible to everyone. -The company really wants users of the program to give them feedback on the accessibility and usage of VoiceThread Two Ideas I would like to try in my VoiceThread…. -I would like to use video in my VoiceThread -After I make my own VoiceThread I think that I will post my feedback on my experience using the program. Reading Journal- “VoiceThread in Classroom Instruction” Five Things I Learned…. -Can turn book reviews into a VoiceThread - First graders can make their own VoiceThread - A great tool to use to teach a new language and have students practice using new vocabulary -Can be used to document a study abroad experience and bring it back to the classroom -It is a good tool to use for collaborating on online projects Two Ideas I Would Like to Try in My VoiceThread…. -I like the idea of doing a radio announcement. It would be fun to try to try to incorporate that. - I would like to be able to make pop-up facts that my buddies and I learned about the people we researched.
